Pastor Janssen has served at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church since 1989. Prior to coming to Martinsville, Pastor Janssen received a degree in education from Concordia University in Chicago. He then attended Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne, Indiana.  Pastor is married to Donna, who serves as the Choir Director at Prince of Peace in addition to her full-time nursing career. Pastor and Donna have four grown children who are all married. They have been blessed with ten grandchildren. Pastor Janssen is well known by many in the community as a result of his organization of the Salvation Army Kettle campaign, his work with Stability First, and the over 2,500 students who have attended the school or daycare since 1995.  He is very passionate for mission work and has participated in several mission trips including Haiti and India.
Sharon Raney has been a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church since 1999. Originally from Indianapolis, she received her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and taught for nine years. After staying home to raise her two young daughters for several years, Sharon returned to teaching at Prince of Peace and is currently serving as church and school secretary (on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays) as well as the Director of Youth Ministries. She has served on the Board of Education, as a Sunday school teacher, Girl Scout leader, and was Director of Vacation Bible School for five years. She and her husband Kevin (who teaches high school math in Bloomington) live in Martinsville. Their daughters are now both registered nurses working in Indianapolis. Sharon loves running, hiking, vacationing with her family, reading, and cooking.
Beth has been a member of Prince of Peace for over 50 years. She retired after 43 years as secretary to an insurance agent and is pleased to be able to work in the Prince of Peace office on Tuesdays and Thursdays while enjoying retirement. Beth has one son, three grandchildren, and one great grandchild. Â Beth is active in Delta Theta Tau Sorority and loves live theatre, especially live musical theatre.
Bethany Asher is a lifelong member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church. She recieved her Bachelor's Degree in Lutheran Education from Concordia University Wisconsin. After working in both public and privates schools, she found her passion in Early Childhood and served as a Childcare Director since 2018. Bethany joined our staff as the Director of Precious Playmates Daycare Ministry in 2020. She is passionate about supporting all children in our community. Bethany is a founding member of the Morgan County Early Learning Coaltion and serves on the Better Communities Coalition: Childcare Taskforces. Â She has served on the Board of Education, as a Sunday School Teacher, and sings in the choir; she also assists in coordinating the Bethelehem Walk each year at Prince of Peace. Bethany and her husband Andrew live in Martinsville with their three young daughters and their German shepherd.
Kacey worked as an aide in the preschool and prekindergarten classrooms for three years prior to becoming the lead teacher in 2024. Kacey and her husband Dan live in Martinsville with their 2 young sons.
Lois has been cleaning up around Prince of Peace and keeping us tidy for over 20 years now. We are fortunate to have Lois. She is a hard worker a loves it here. She says she âenjoys cleaning." Lois worked for JC Penney before coming to Prince of Peace. Lois likes Christian movies and enjoys attending Prince of Peace. We are grateful for all Lois does for Prince of Peace.
